Description and Services
Description (Service) Family-centred service provided to children and their parents at home to facilitate the child’s language (oral and/or American Sign Language), cognitive, social and preschool literacy development. * Teachers are registered with the College of Teachers of Ontario and have a Specialist in deaf education with additional training in early intervention methodologies. A Family American Sign Language (ASL) adviser is available to families who wish to learn ASL. Parents, Family Support workers, doctors, audiologists or speech pathologists may refer a child to this program.

If you have a child who lives in Ontario and is between infancy and school age (up to age 6), and has been diagnosed as deaf or hard-of-hearing.
