Description and Services
Description (Service) Offers a short term emergency 16 bed shelter for women and children fleeing an abusive relationship * 24 hour Crisis/ Support Line * groups and one-to-one support * safety planning * education on abuse * referrals * resources and guidance making informed choices
Sup. Description Children's Residencial Services * welcomes children to the shelter * assists children in understanding why they are at the shelter * provides structured programming in both group and one to one settings * provides activities of a fun nature (ie.crafts * games * recreational * special events) * coordinates volunteer support * assists with school registration and promotes the importance of education * recognizes the individual needs of each child * and may make referrals to other services
