Description and Services
Description (Service) Hosts tax preparation clinics where volunteers prepare income tax and benefit returns for those who have a modest income and simple tax situation

Areas Served Ontario
Eligibility Income must not exceed: 
* $35,000 for a single person 
* $45,000 for a couple 
* $47,500 for three persons 
* $50,000 for four persons 
* $52,500 for five persons 
* An additional $2,500 is added to the above for each additional person 
Interest income must not exceed $1,000 
Volunteers do not complete returns for complex situations such as for people who:  
* are self-employed or have employment expenses 
* have business or rental income and expenses 
* have capital gains or losses 
* file for bankruptcy 
* are completing a tax return for a deceased person

Public Comments For the moment, many income tax clinics are suspending their in-person appointments in favour of virtual clinics. Please call ahead of time to check how service will be offered. Visit the CRA's online search tool to find local clinics.

Deadline has also been pushed back: COVID19 NOTE FROM REVENUE CANADA: The due date for filing individual tax returns has been extended to June 1, 2020. Taxpayers will have until September 1, 2020 to pay any 2019 income tax amounts.
