Description (Service) Assists businesses, industries, municipalities and individuals in meeting and exceeding today's environmental standards. 
 
Regulates and controls emissions to air, water and land * inspection of water, sewage, and industrial waste water treatment plants * air pollution control devices and intervention in cases of ecological disaster * responds to public inquiries and reports of pollution incidents 
 
Enforces the law and the regulations enacted under these Acts: the Environmental Protection Act * Ontario Water Resources Act * Pesticides Act * Environmental Assessment Act
